CHAPTER III: OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY
10Chancellor
Brief: This section establishes the structure and role of the Chancellor. It identifies membership or composition where applicable, explains the body’s functions and decision-making responsibilities, and records procedural details such as meetings, quorum, nomination or reporting duties when the Act provides them.
(1)The Governor of the State of Jharkhand shall be the Chancellor of the University.
(2)The Chancellor shall, by virtue of his/her office, be the Head of the University and shall, if present, preside at the Convocations of the University held for conferring degrees.
