CHAPTER I: PRELIMINARY
1Short Title, Extent and Commencement
Brief: This section sets out the rule on short title, extent and commencement under the Jharkhand State Universities Act, 2026. It identifies the authority, institution, right, duty or procedure governed by the provision and states how that matter is to be handled within the statutory framework.
(1)This Act may be called the Jharkhand State Universities Act, 2026.
(2)It shall extend to all Universities mentioned in the Schedule II and Schedule III of this Act and established in the State of Jharkhand.
(3)It shall come into force from the date of its notification in the Official Gazette.
