93Action Against Unlawful Activities

Brief: All employees of the University or its Constituent Colleges when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any provisions of this Act, or rules made or directions issued thereafter shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of Section 28 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita23. (1)All employees of the University or its Constituent Colleges when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any provisions of this Act, or rules made or directions issued thereafter shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of Section 28 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita23.

(2)Any person whoever with intent to cause, or knowing that he is likely to cause, wrongful loss or damage to the public or to any person, causes the destruction of any property, or any such change in any property or in the situation thereof as destroys or diminishes its value or utility, or affects it injuriously, commits mischief or prevents any official from performing his duty shall be subjected to strict legal action under Section 324 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita23.
